About Capstone
Capstone Community Marketing is Perry and Rhonda Trusty, a husband-and-wife team Building Communities, Telling Their Stories and Creating Opportunity across Saskatchewan.
Between the two of us we've spent decades in Economic Development, television, Marketing and tourism. Perry worked as an Economic Development officer in communities across Saskatchewan and helped bring developments like Cornerstone and Stonegate to life. Rhonda worked in television before moving into Marketing, tourism and community promotion.
In 2022 we became Co-Executive Directors of the Prince Albert Downtown Business Improvement District. That work, from growing the Downtown Street Fair to more than 30,000 people to the Downtown security program, is a good picture of how we like to work: promotion, events and advocacy all pulling in the same direction.
We started Capstone to bring that same combination to other communities. Most places already have something worth building on. It might be land, a lake, a trail system, a strong main street or a festival. What they often need is help figuring out what it is and telling people about it.
How We Approach a Project
-
What's the Opportunity?
We look at what the community already has, what it's missing and what it could realistically support.
-
How Do We Develop It?
We put together a practical plan that fits the size and budget of the community.
-
How Do We Tell People?
Community profiles, campaigns, photos, video and events, aimed at the people who need to hear it.
