What Changed
Rhonda assessed how the fair was put together. She tripled the sponsorship, doubled the vendors and doubled the people coming Downtown for the day.
She drew musicians and vendors from across the city and the province, growing the fair from 100 to over 200 vendors and business participants, and worked with First Nations groups to create a cultural village along the Prince Albert riverbank, bringing a large multicultural part to the Street Fair.
The Scale of It
The Street Fair is bigger than most people think. It takes:
- A car show
- Live music from local and provincial musicians
- Major sponsorships
- Children's entertainment
- Food trucks
- A First Nations cultural village
- Work with city administration
- A large volunteer base
- Marketing to draw more than 30,000 people
Why We Put So Much Into Events
A good event brings in people who might not otherwise come Downtown. It puts customers in front of local businesses and vendors, gets media coverage and gives people a reason to come back the next time.
It also builds a positive community feeling and spirit. For one day the whole city shows up Downtown together.
This Year
The 2026 fair had stilt walkers, jugglers, over 200 vendor and business tents and a great group of volunteers. The photos below are from the day.
